Kerry Family DentalWe have been at the forefront of dental health in Michigan for over 100 years. Dr. Edgar James (Gloria's father) began practicing in 1921. He was board certified in periodontics in 1945.
The ‘Original,’ Dr. Gloria, practiced dentistry for sixty-five years after graduating as the only woman of the University of Michigan School of Dentistry Class of 1956 and was beloved by us all. A woman of endless energy and warmth and a periodontist of international reputation, we cannot believe that she is gone. Her glorious smile lives on in our hearts and in our practice!
Dr. Gloria joined her father as a young dentist, enabling her to see the Kerry Family practice become a ninety-nine year tradition of maintaining dental health and bright smiles. Dr. Karen has practiced with her mother for thirty-five years and continues her legacy. Dr. Taylor and Dr. Kelly graduated from University of Michigan Dental School (voted the #1 Dental School in the Country) and both are excited to follow in their mother’s and grandmother's footsteps.

Dr. Karen is the best dentist I’ve ever had! She is deeply intelligent, charismatic, and warm. Dr. Karen focuses on the whole patient which means a lot to me. In-House Insurance PlanYour family deserves the best when it comes to dental care, and price shouldn’t be an obstacle. Here at Kerry Family Dental, we offer multiple in-house insurance plans for patients without insurance. With our annual membership fee, you’ll enjoy a reduced price for cleanings, exams, and all other services. And since it’s not a typical dental insurance plan, there are no deductibles, predeterminations or annual maximums to worry about!

Brush your teeth twice a day, in the morning and before bedtime, with fluoride toothpaste. Make sure to brush all sides of your teeth, as well as, your tongue.
Floss or use another between-the-tooth cleaner daily to remove plaque and bits of food from areas your toothbrush can't reach.
Eat a balanced diet for good general health and limit sugary snacks. Avoid tobacco, smokers are more likely to develop periodontal disease & tooth loss.
Visit your dentist regularly. Professional cleanings are the only way to remove tartar, which traps bacteria along the gum line.
